2-6 players, recommended ages 2 years - 102 years.
How to Play Hick's SticksTM
Post distance recommendation:
Place both goalie posts roughly 35 feet to 40 feet apart from each other. If small children are playing, a distance of 15 feet to 20 feet is recommended.
Rule 1
Each player takes turns tossing their sticks towards the post on the far end of the ice. You gain 1 point if your stick lands closest to the post, without hitting it.
Rule 2
You will lose 1 point if your stick hits the post during your turn.
Rule 3
You can "steal" a point if you hit your opponent's stick out of the way AND with the same stick, are also closest to the post. You will gain 1 point from being closest to the post and also will "steal" one point from the opponent that you hit their stick. Players cannot go below 0 points, but you will still earn 2 points, even if that player is at 0.
Rule 4
If two players' sticks are equal distance from the post, both players will throw again. The player closest to the post on this throw will gain the point.
Rule 5
Switch sides after each player has tossed their stick(s) and a point has been gained.
Have fun and make up your own rules along the way, as we at Hick's Sticks Games only supply these rules as recommendations.
